We have your back.

TURNKEY TECHNICAL PRODUCTION

Just like it sounds, you turn the key and we do the rest.  For IRL events, we handle the lighting, audio, video, breakouts and all the other A/V needs.  In Virtual, we handle the technical side of things, including speaker recording, live broadcast, platform design & execution, production timeline, graphic design, video editing, and all that other technical stuff.  Start to finish, first in last out, you name it, this is our way of saying “Yeah, we do that”.

SPEAKER RECORDING & PREPARATION

With a background in corporate theatre, we approach our video screen like a stage.  Be prepared, rehearse your script, use teleprompter and be sure to always look your best.  Whether you’re presenting live or recording your remarks, there are plenty of tricks of the trade we share with our clients.  Simple adjustments like elevating your laptop, adding a microphone or connecting to a modem can greatly increase the quality of your live and recorded speakers.  Let us help you learn how to look and sound your best on stage.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Our Project Managers are the soul of Team Precon.  Throughout the planning process the Project Management Team handles all aspects of an events production and technology needs while keeping cool, calm and composed.  They keep a strict timeline and a tight grip on the budget ensuring everyone stays on course.  These folks walk softly and carry a big stick.  Our team includes some of the industry’s best Technical Producers, Show Directors, Project Managers and all-around, world class Event Gurus.

VIDEO EDITING AND PRODUCTION

No one wants to sit in front of another day of video chat calls and boring webinars.  Precon’s video editors take your content to the next level.  We design graphic treatments to make your videos look and sound great.  Our high impact animations, branded speaker ID’s and eye-catching on-screen graphics make your program stand out above the rest.  By controlling the look and feel of your show we create a dynamic event that makes your audience want to tune in.  We take our cues from broadcast television; so think about your favorite news show and how they present speakers on screen with all the cool windows and backgrounds; yeah, that’s what we do.

PLATFORM ADMINISTRATION

After scores of Zoom calls, countless product demos and hundreds of hours checking out the backdoor of nearly every platform from DC to Dehli, we understand platforms. Our top secret Platform Special Secret Strategy Team (Pssst) is our internal task force assigned to research, scrutinize and vet all of the newest technology.  In doing so, we become your resource to determine which platform makes the most sense for you and your event.    As licensed partners with some of the industry’s top performers, we work with in-house solutions, outsourced partnerships as well as our clients preferred event apps and registration software.  While some of our clients attendees are focused on networking, others need great educational tools, while others need to recreate extensive tradeshows and awards galas.  So just remember, when you’re looking to figure out who does what and who does what well, just remember who to ask for….Pssst.  We know platforms!

BEST PRACTICES

Many industry veterans seem to have more questions than answers.  How do I engage my audience?  How should we schedule the program?  How do we network?  How do I provide ROI to my sponsors?  Exhibitors?  Attendees?  Should we go live, recorded and what the heck is a platform? Fortunately for you, the Precon team has been figuring it all out.  Success begins with a solid project timeline and a knowledgeable team.  We coach our speakers on how to look and sound the best they can.  We video and record our speakers with quality equipment.  We manage the wifi and come up with backups for our backups.  In the end, we rely on our team, and our experience producing live events for customers all over the planet.

What we do & where we've been.

Town Hall Meeting

The Problem: In 2015 University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC), one of the country’s largest online universities needed to stream live address by the President of the University to its faculty and staff on four continents.

The Solution:

The University relied on Precon to provide full technical production elements including temporary broadcast studio, custom graphics and website content for their biannual town hall meetings.  The broadcasts were simulcast to local audiences in pop up viewing theatres and included Q&A into the platform for a truly inclusive program.

Since then Precon has overseen the webcasting of numerous other virtual events including commencements, pinning ceremonies and formal Veterans Day ceremonies.

SimuLive Programming

The Problem: With the cancellation of the school year, Friendship Public Charter Schools were unable to host their annual College Signing Day and Graduations to celebrate the accomplishments of the students.

The Solution: Video footage from approximately one hundred students and faculty was edited down to a one-hour program viewed on the Friendship website.  The final program was presented as a simulated-live (SimuLive) stream to an audience of thousands of viewers, many who participated in live chat while being simultaneously broadcast via Facebook Live and YouTube Live.

Virtual Conference

The Problem: After nearly fifteen years of hosting the Capitol Hill Ocean Week conference, National Marine Sanctuaries Foundation needed to shift their In Real Life (IRL) conference to a virtual experience weeks after the Covid-19 pandemic began.

The Solution: Due to the high demand for Virtual Conference Platforms, Precon worked quickly to source and secure the right Conference Platform to host an 800-person international conference.  Within days, we partnered with client’s staff to schedule rehearsals for the live broadcasting of numerous Keynote Speakers and recordings for dozens of breakout session speakers.  Thanks to SimuLive technology, the presenters are able to quickly respond to Q&A while facilitating live chat sessions during their presentations.  For the exhibitors, two distinct Tradeshow Exhibit Halls were designed for the conference.  With nearly fifty exhibitors and sponsors scheduled, we quickly reached out to each organization to create Virtual Tradeshow Booths for each exhibitor, designed to recreate the experience of an actual tradeshow floor.

Social Media Broadcast

The Problem: The Universities at Shady Grove were unable to host their in-person commencement ceremony and needed a low-cost solution to broadcast to their audience of graduates and their friends and families.

The Solution: By utilizing the features of YouTube Premier, Precon assisted the University to implement a low-cost solution by hosting their graduation on multiple social media sites.  The Project Team used the Wirecast Streaming Software solution to stream in real time to Facebook Live and included backups and redundancies for the stream
